The majority of projects undertaken are priced in advance based on their scope and the work required. I am keen to provide a bottom-line estimate/quotation for any project lasting more than just a few days. Projects organised in advance this way may also benefit from a discounted rate compared to my ad-hoc rates (below).

Simple web design work is charged at the rate of £25.00 per hour, excluding VAT (and travel where appropriate).
This rate includes creation of normal website content, graphic design, text editing, search engine optimisation and publishing.
Computer programming work is charged at £37.50 per hour, excluding VAT (and travel if appropriate).
This rate includes back-end website programming in PHP, ASP.NET, ASP, database design/administration and bespoke JavaScript applications on web pages.
I also offer web hosting using professional datacenter-based servers. A basic hosting package, applicable to the majority of small business websites, is charged at £20.00 per year excluding VAT.
The basic hosting package includes 200 megabytes of disk space, FTP access, ASP.NET 2.0 (C# only), PHP5 and MySQL. Bandwidth consumption is essentially unmetered for small-to-medium sized websites.
I can also provide higher-capacity hosting for sites requiring more disk space, heavy back-end processing power or unusually high bandwidth. Please contact me if you would like to enquire about a bespoke hosting package.
Since I manage this hosting myself on a Linux-based platform, I am happy to consider requests for other technologies (in addition to those listed above). If I can install/enable a new server technology in such a way that it does not interfere with other clients' hosting then I am happy to do so.
